The West Central Valley Wildcat girls basketball team kicked off the 2024-25 season by traveling to Creston High School, but unfortunately fell to the Panthers in an emotional rollercoaster of a match up with a final score of 46-43.

West Central Valley would have the advantage during the first quarter, as both teams would go back and forth but the Wildcats would finish the quarter ahead with a 11-9 score. In the second quarter, the Panthers would begin to gain momentum, taking the lead and the advantage going into the half. With the score at 19-17 coming into the third quarter, West Central Valley would claim the lead again with 33-29 score to end the quarter. In the final minutes of the game, both teams would continue to battle, but the Panthers would take the lead in the final moments of the match up to claim a 46-43 victory over the Wildcats.

The now 0-1 West Central Valley Wildcats are back in action at home on Monday, December 2nd as they host the Lamoni Demons.
