The AC/GC Chargers boys basketball team is ready to get their season started next week.

Last season the Chargers made it to the divisional championship, and they’re looking forward to improving on last year’s record. Sophomore Preston Kent shares what he’s looking forward to this season.

“I’m really looking forward to the team aspect, just being around the guys more and just being more involved with the team this year after freshman year of not doing very much.”

Junior Joe Crawford mentions some goals the team is working on.

“We’ve got to shoot the ball well, we’ve got to play with pace, we’ve got to rebound the ball well, and we’ve got to defend at a very high level.”

The Chargers have already played in a scrimmage against Woodbine, but get the season started next Tuesday, when they travel to Stuart to take on the West Central Valley Wildcats in the season’s first doubleheader.
