Two Greene County High School football players were selected for the Class 2A second All-State team by members of the Iowa Football Coaches Association including Ram head coach Caden Duncan. Senior Kamden Kinne and sophomore Trevon Keely were the All-State selections for the Rams. This is the first year the IFCA selected their own All-State teams.

Kinne played varsity football all four years of high school. He was named to the IFCA second team as an offensive lineman after being selected to the District 8 first team as a defensive lineman. Widely regarded throughout his career as a top player up front, Kinne has been named an All-State player for the first time in his career.

Keely, a Paton-Churdan student, is a rare sophomore in the Greene County program to be named to an All-State team. He was among Class 2A’s leaders in pass interceptions with five and in kickoff returns for touchdowns at two. He was named by the IFCA as a kick returner.

Greene County went 5-5 this season and put together a late three game winning streak that saw them not only get into the playoffs, but win their first round game and advance to the Round of 16.
