Raccoon Valley Radio will be apart of an annual holiday event tomorrow in the City of Perry.
The Perry Chamber of Commerce is orchestrating the Lighted Holiday Parade tomorrow night as many area businesses will be participating. According to Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, line up will take place on the corner of 2nd Street and Otley Street at 6pm, but businesses can show up anytime before the parade gets going at 7pm.
She highlights a change in this year’s street closures, with Willis Avenue to 3rd Street being unavailable to drivers as well as 2nd Street between Otley and Pattee Streets. Pasutti details that any spot alongside 2nd Street will be a good vantage point for spectators.
“There’s no bad place to watch the parade. Just come downtown, do some window shopping, and get some coffee from Perry Perk or Scooters (Coffee) on your way in and stay bundled up with hot chocolate.”
Pasutti explains that the Carsten Family Foundation is sponsoring the event for the second year in a row as Perry Chamber Bucks will be distributed between the top three best and brightest parade floats. She reveals that first place will receive $350, second place gets $250, and third place is awarded $150. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be riding through the parade.
