Three people were injured from a two vehicle rear-ending crash in northern Dallas County that included one victim being airlifted to a Des Moines hospital Friday evening.
Perry Fire Chief Grason Hill confirms to Raccoon Valley Radio that the Perry Fire and Police Departments, along with Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Boone County Hospital Ambulance responded to the intersection of Highway 169 and 335th Street just after 5pm on Friday. He says a woman was driving a pickup truck and had slowed down on the highway, and as she was turning onto the gravel road onto 335th Street, sources say an SUV that was traveling in the same direction, rear-ended the truck. Hill states that they had to extricate the woman and a male from the SUV.
Sources say the woman that was driving the truck was airlifted to MercyOne in Des Moines, and the male driver and a passenger were treated at the scene with minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
