A furry companion is developing well alongside an organization within Dallas County.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office new therapy dog Maverick has been with the department since June. Sheriff Adam Infante shares that Maverick is continuing to excel at a good rate.

“He’s growing, he is really working hard on getting trained, he’s already doing some events, and slowly but surely, he is coming along, but he’s already making impacts.”

Infante comments that he was impressed with Maverick’s energy level during Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School’s Tigerfest program that occurred in October. He illustrates that Maverick is about nine months old and will take about one year for him to become fully certified to assist the sheriff’s office with criminal cases and investigations.
