A service that the Perry Community School District utilizes will be receiving a pay increase in 2025.
According to Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks, Perry’s Academic, Cultural, & Enrichment Services will see the prices rise in the new year. He indicates the reason behind the upping in price is to ensure that the afterschool program can continue.
“It’s at the cost of subsidizing the P.A.C.E.S. program. So, we subsidize that at $190,000, which is significant. So prices will need to be raised to be able to provide that service.”
Wicks credits P.A.C.E.S. Director Mary Hillman for her willingness to work with kids and want to be able to keep supporting the program. Wicks concludes that the price increase will take effect on January 6th, 2025.
