On Tuesday an important and popular program is happening with Greene County ISU Extension.

Office Coordinator Cindy Adamson says Tuesday is the first of two Private Pesticide Applicator Trainings that will be at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio the program starts at 1:30pm and will last about 2.5 hours and will cover topics such as pesticide use and the environment, understanding pesticide labels, and pesticides with controlling pests and pest management. Adamson points out that the first Private Pesticide training is typically more popular than the one that is held next spring.

“We usually have most of our applicators come on Tuesday, December 3rd at Clover Hall. The March 6th is just for the procrastinators to get in here and get it done.”

The cost for the training is $30 and registrations can be done at the Greene County Extension Office in Jefferson or that day, but those individuals that wait will need to be signed up and in their seats at 1:30pm. The second training is scheduled for March 6th at 6:30pm at the Extension Office meeting room.
