The Stuart Public Library held their annual Library Foundation Auction in November.
Library Director Lisa Sherman says that there were many items that were donated for the auction, including a painting by a local artist, some crafts, and much more. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio how the auction went.
“We did have 74 people in attendance, and I always set kind of a, ‘I hope we make this much.’ I mean, I’m so thankful for whatever the Foundation gets, absolutely, but we exceeded what I had hoped we could get this year so a huge thank you to everyone that donated and those that bid it was, I’m still amazed at our community, they’re fantastic.”
Sherman mentions that this is the biggest thing the Foundation does each year, which helps raise funding for the library to purchase new books.
