In their November meeting, the West Central Valley School Board renewed a contract geared towards their HVAC systems.
Superintendent Rusty Shockley says that the Board has been pleased with the services of Baker Group and how they handle working on the system. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what renewing the contract does.
“When you have four buildings, it’s a never ending battle for school districts. So, there’s not an unending pot of money. With this, it allows us to, you know, use a different pot of money to make some of our repairs and pay for preventative maintenance that protects our general fund to allow it to be used for educational purposes that will be spent on students.”
Baker Group works with schools in several states. Shockley mentions the contract will continue the current agreement for the next year, when it will be reviewed again.
