Perry girls wrestling will be at their second quad of the season tonight.  The Jayettes travel to Carlisle as they face off with the host Wildcats as well as Pella and Pleasantville.  Perry struggled as a team in their first quad of the season falling to Raccoon River Northwest and Logan-Magnolia.  They did defeat SWAT in that opening meet in Van Meter.  This is the first competition for Perry since November 23.  The well rested Jayettes will look to perform well after the long layoff.  Julie Maylum is coming off a third place finish in  Nevada at the Central Iowa Kickoff Tournament.  Mercedes Ponce grabbed second in her weight class.  Those two will hope to lead Perry to a couple victories tonight at 5:30 when the action begins in Carlisle.
