Dec. 1st

Angel Vazquez, Minburn, was driving in the 22000 block of N Ave when he struck a deer. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $1500.  He was able to drive from the scene.

Dec. 2nd

Rickie Romero, Dallas Center, was driving in the 1400 of Fairview Drive in Dallas Center, when he struck a parked car.  No injuries were reported and Mr. Romero’s car had an estimated $3000 damage.  The unoccupied car belonging to Sheri Oostra, Packwood, Iowa, received an estimated $5000 damage.  Rickie Romero, age 57, 1503 Fairview Dr, Dallas Center, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.  He was also cited for Failure To Stop In Assured Clear Distance.

Dec. 3rd

Jessica James, Adel, was driving in the 28000 block of Hwy 169 when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5000.  She was able to drive from the scene.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
