
Heart of Iowa Conference play opened up last night for the Perry Jayettes. Perry grabbed their second win on the year in the 38-13 victory over Greene County. The Jayettes have now the last seven meetings with the Rams. Perry forced 7 turnovers in the first quarter and took a 10-0 lead into the second. The Jayette defense would keep the clamps on as the lead extended to 24 at half, 24-0. Greene County would finally score in the third, but Perry extended the lead to 31, 32-1 at the end of three. The Rams would win the fourth quarter 12-7, but the damage was done as Perry claimed the 38-13 win
Lily Myers led all Scorers with 13 points. Karagyn Whelchel chipped in 7 in the Jayette victory
Perry now sits at 2-0 and 1-0 in conference play. Greene County falls to 0-3 and 0-1 in the Heart of Iowa. The Jayettes host Ogden tomorrow night. A game that can be heard on 94.3, 99.7, and AM1310 KDLS.
