Last night the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs basketball teams traveled to ADM High School for the first double header of the season, and season opener for the Mustang boys. In an exciting back and forth contest, the Mustang girls came out victorious 48-44.
Competitive basketball action commenced between the Lady Mustangs and the Lady Tigers, with the Mustangs battling but the first quarter would come to a close with the Mustangs one point behind.
With the score at 15-14 in the Tigers favor, the Mustangs would begin to fire up, as both teams would refuse to give up while playing great defense. The Mustangs would only score 10 points this quarter, but would keep the Tigers at bay only allowing 7 points, giving the Mustangs a 24-22 lead going into the half.
Brauch, Meyer, and Jones would continue to lead the charge for the Mustangs eventually catapulting them towards a 48-44 victory. Mustang basketball is back in action on Friday night at home as the Mustangs host the Des Moines Christian Lions.
