
Drought conditions in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area remain unchanged after the first recordable snowfall of the year
According to the US Drought Monitor, Dallas County is still facing abnormally dry conditions. Guthrie County is mainly abnormally dry except for the western side of the county, which is seeing a moderate drought. Greene County is also under mainly abnormally dry conditions, while the northwest corner suffers from moderate drought.
According to the National Weather Service, as of December 5th Guthrie Center has recorded 0.05 inches of precipitation, while usually recording 0.31 inches at the same time. Jefferson has reported 0.02 inches of precipitation while usually seeing 0.35 inches by December 5th, and Perry has not reported any precipitation while usually recording 0.27 inches.
