The Greene County wrestling team had just seven of the 14 weight classes filled at the Cliff Keen Independence Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Four of the seven wrestled in the Gold bracket, the top bracket at this tournament, and the Rams had four top eight place winners.

Sophomore Brennan Jacobs had the highest finish by a Greene County wrestler at fifth place at 106 lbs. Placing sixth was sophomore Degan Miller at 175 and placing eighth were sophomore Jaron Jacobs at 113 lbs. and senior Marcus Ball at 215 lbs.

The other three entries were senior Gavyn Winters, tenth at 120 lbs., senior Crew Conner, 13th at 150 lbs., and sophomore Nehemiah Hoyt, 24th at 190 lbs.

In the team race, the Rams were 25th among 30 teams with 117.5 points.
