The Panora Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the holiday season on this week.

Chamber Coordinator Erica Matthies says that they are holding their Holiday Business Open Houses on Friday. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio one of the reasons that they hold this event.

“It’s a chance to give our, maybe not your typical retail businesses and storefronts, the ability to have an open house and have people kind of come in and chat and check out their spaces. We have a fantastic retail committee who does a lot with our retail businesses and they drum up a lot of traffic. And so this is a way for more of your service industry businesses to get some time to shine and have people stop in and see their brick and mortar.”

Matthies mentions that businesses will be open throughout the day for individuals to visit. She adds that the those visiting the participating businesses will also be able to enjoy their respective deals, any provided treats and lots of Christmas cheer.
