
The Adel City Council met in regular session on Tuesday.
The council approved the first reading to add regulations to dangerous and potentially dangerous dogs. According to Mayor Jim Peters the second of three required readings will be done at the next meeting in January.
Other items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution to accept an engineering services agreement with McClure Engineering for the Adel Rapids Street Reconstruction project, an agreement for economic development services with the Adel Partners Chamber for funding the 2025 calendar year, and a Class C retail alcohol license for Great White Buffalo Public House.
Additional approved items pertained to a five-day special Class C retail alcohol license for Lucky Wife Wine Slushies for a special event, a grant agreement in support of Dallas County Development Incorporated, filing annexation applications from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Community School District and LeMar Koethe, and a resolution to order construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Laboratory and the administration building.
The council also set public hearings to consider amending the zoning ordinances for Southbridge Plat 7 and 11 at the next meeting on January 14th at 6pm.
