The Greene County Sheriff’s Department assisted in a traffic accident early Saturday evening.

Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Heath Enns says that they received a dispatch for the accident at 4:30pm, and once he made it on site, observed two vehicles who had crashed while on the bridge on Highway 30 at the Greene and Boone County line. He mentions that the accident itself was on the Boone County side, and that the Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control until 6pm when the road was reopened. Enns adds that besides both the Greene and Boone County Sheriff’s Offices, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
