The Jefferson Elks Lodge #2306 recently announced the qualifiers from its local Hoop Shoot Contest.

According to the local Elks Lodge, the first and second place finishers that scored the most free throws out of 25 attempts have moved onto the district competition. Winning the 8-9 year old boys division was Braxton Taylor from Greene County, with the girls 8-9 year old champion being Kara Wolterman. The 10-11 year old boys winner was Keegan Minnihan and for the girls side, first place went to Samantha Pederson. The champion for the 12-13 year old boys division was Wyatt Brus and first place for the girls division was Delaney Pederson. The second place qualifiers are also listed below.
The Jefferson Elks Lodge reminds everyone that the kids that competed at the December 7th local Hoop Shoot Contest came from the qualifiers from their respective school district’s physical education classes. The first and second place individuals will compete at the District Hoop Shoot Contest in January.
