Monday evening saw Perry girls wrestling return to action. The Jayettes competed in Des Moines at the Saydel Invitational with 29 schools in attendance. Perry saw tremendous results led by Mercedes Ponce, who won the weight class of 105. Julie Maylum came in second in the class of 155. Cate Erickson was another second place finisher in the class of 120. Amelia Canales secured third in 115. Ayden Erickson grabbed fourth in 125 and Harper Peterson did the same in 100. The Jayettes finished in 6th in the team portion of the Invite. Full results below:
