The last varsity basketball games of December are tonight in Jefferson for the Greene County Rams against Roland-Story (Story City). The Rams are 0-6 in girls’ basketball and 0-3 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play while the boys are 2-4, 0-3. The R-S girls are ranked number 5 in Class 3A with a 6-0 record and 3-0 in league play, but the Norsemen boys are off to an uncharacteristically slow start at 1-4, 1-2.

Both Roland-Story teams have been dominant in this series. Since the Rams joined the HOIAC for the 2007-08 school year, the R-S girls are 30-3 vs. the Rams and have won the last 18 meetings. The R-S boys have captured the last 12 games vs. Greene County.

The girls play at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow. Coverage on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
