A player on the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Bowling team has good aspirations for the 2024-25 season.

ADM senior Owen Evans is in his final year on the bowling team, but part of the inaugural team in the school’s history. Evans was apart of the partnership with Waukee High School for the past three years. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Waukee brought home many championships, but he wants to bring hardware home to Adel.

“(My) personal goal is to help take this team to state. I really think that we could do that, and I mean again, it’s been a struggle this far in the year, but we could bring it together this final part of the season.”

Evans loves bowling alongside his teammates because he thinks of them as a “family.” He mentions that although there are a lot of freshmen on the team, Head Coach Jason Kilker is doing a great job of bonding all of them. Evans adds that his family is present at every match and is appreciative of the support they’ve shown.

ADM will be facing Pella Christian when they return from winter break in 2025 at the Adel Family Fun Center on January 6th.
