A generous donation was made to an animal shelter within the City of Perry to help pay for a service offered.

According to Raccoon River Pet Rescue Board Member Janelle Repp, a donation in the amount of $2,280 was given by Scot and Sherry Dickerson to cover the cost of the December spay and neuter clinic. Repp states that the Dickerson’s were looking to honor their late parents, who were huge animal lovers, and decided on sponsoring the clinic as a result. She says that 26 cats were covered by the Dickerson’s donation and that they were present when people were picking up their animals, and greeted them.

Repp then asked each cat owner if they wanted to pay it forward to help out other stray animals, and she points out that a third of them did, in fact, do so. Repp is extremely grateful for the Dickerson’s and their selflessness to contribute to animals that are in need.
