Raccoon Valley Radio will be playing Holiday Music Magazines today and tomorrow.

General Manager John McGee shares why the stations do this.

“The Holiday Music Magazines is kind of a neat thing that we do every year, where we switch over, play nothing but holiday music, and then we offer to the businesses the opportunity to sponsor 15 minute and half hour segments of it. I think it does a couple things. Number one, it just gives the audience an opportunity to listen to some great holiday music and number two, it gives the business community a great opportunity to say ‘Thank you.’ You know, we all work together in these communities to make sure that we’re reminding people to do business locally, that we’re very thankful for the business that people do, and really, that’s why we put these holiday music magazines together. Just an opportunity to say thank you, to come together as a community, and wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

Today’s Holiday Music Magazines will be played on 98.9FM KGRA, 94.3FM, 99.7FM, 1310 KDLS and 107.9FM from 1pm to midnight, and from 6am to midnight tomorrow. If necessary, breaking news will interrupt the program so the public can receive information first, fast and accurately. Raccoon Valley Radio’s regularly scheduled programming will return on Thursday.
