Perry boys basketball is currently in the middle of winter break.  The first 7 games of the season has seen the Bluejays go 5-2.  5 wins before the New Year is the most in a decade.  Perry is coming off a tough 83-78 OT loss to Boone last Thursday.  They return to the court a week from tomorrow when the perfect 7-0 Nevada Cubs come to Perry.

The Bluejays sit in third in the Heart of Iowa Conference with a record of 4-1.  Just Grand View Christian 6-0 and Nevada 5-0 are ahead of them.  The offense is averaging 65.4 points per game behind strong start by two seniors.  Owen Myers and Geren Kenney are each averaging over 20 points per game.  Kenney is also grabbing nearly 13 rebounds a contest.

Coach Morris has molded this team around its defense.  Perry is surrendering 57.7 points per game and causing 12 steals a night.

Perry returns to Dan Marburger Court on Friday, January 3.
