The Raccoon Valley Radio listening area is almost completely out of drought, as portions are in good condition.

The U.S. Drought Monitor shows that Greene and Guthrie counties are mostly abnormally dry, with the east side of the counties in moderate drought, while Dallas County is out of drought, with the exception of the northeast side seeing abnormally dry conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, as of December 26th, Jefferson has accumulated 0.01 inches of rain, behind the December monthly average of 1.21; Guthrie Center is at 0.15 inches of precipitation, behind the normal of 1.23 inches; and Perry has seen 0.30 inches of rain in December, behind the monthly rate of 1.19 inches.
