New Year’s Day is coming soon, and several entities in Guthrie County will be closed in observance of the holiday.

In Stuart, City Hall and Stuart Municipal Utilities will be closed December 31st, and New Year’s Day, as will the Stuart Public Library. Trash routes will be unaffected by the holiday in Stuart. Panora City Hall will also be closed on January 1. In Guthrie Center, City Hall will be closed for the holiday, with the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library to be open for the first half their regular hours on December 31st, and closed New Year’s Day. The Guthrie County Courthouse will be closed January 1st, and the Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be closed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
