Students from Perry High School will be giving back to the community in a special way for an extravagant event in 2025.

Perry School Superintendent Clark Wicks shares that members of the high school prom committee have banded together to show their appreciation for bus drivers. He details that during the December school board meeting, student Maddie McDevitt agreed that the committee will pay for the bus drivers following the board accepting the request to supply the buses. Wicks is happy to see the students supporting faculty members and volunteers.

“I think great teamwork on that part, so (I) applaud the prom committee as well as our board for supporting the prom.”

In 2024, Perry High School was graciously given a donation of $50,000 from JCPenney in West Des Moines following the tragic shooting that happened on January 4th. Perry’s prom will take place on May 3rd, 2025.
