Portions of the City of Perry are currently experiencing a power outage late Friday morning affecting approximately 1,000 residents in the area.

According to Alliant Energy, an outage occurred in three separate locations a little after 10:45am. The areas affected include the intersection of Willis Avenue and 1st Avenue, along Highway 141 and 8th Street, and on McKinley Street near Perry Middle and High School. Alliant Energy states that there’s a total of six outages in the area impacting about 997 residents. The organization announces that the power should be restored this afternoon at 1pm.
