Jayette wrestling has had a lot to be proud of in the first half of the season.  TJ Maylum remembers one day in December fondly.  “I was at a tournament for December 7th which is my birthday and my daughter won the tournament there but we also we had a couple other champs that day as well.  Birthday gold is always pretty cool. That was a great day.”

That was the Ames Invite.  Julie Maylum won the weight class of 155, Mercedes Ponce won 105, and Harper Peterson, a freshman, won her first gold in 100.  The Jayettes have some time off before their next competition.  Perry will be at the Panorama Invite on January 7.
