A winter youth sports league is starting up soon with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

JPRD Assistant Director Henry Pohlmeyer says girls in kindergarten through sixth grade can sign up now for a 3-on-3 Girls Basketball League with games to take place every Sunday in January. The kindergarten through second graders will be from 1-2pm and third through sixth graders are from 2-3pm at the Greene County Community Center.

Pohlmeyer points out that teams will be determined after the first day of the league on January 5th.  The cost to participate is $10 for those girls that participated in the October Skills and Fundamentals Camp, otherwise it is $30 with a t-shirt included.
