With the New Year’s holiday upon us, several offices and businesses in Greene County will be closed.

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County Extension Office, Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library and the Greene County Community Center are all closed on New Year’s Day in observance of the holiday. 

Jefferson Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday. Jefferson City staff reminds residents that with New Year’s on Wednesday, only those garbage and recycling routes will be delayed to the next day on Thursday. All garbage and recycling routes on Monday and Tuesday will be normal pickup days and times.
