The Perry Public Library is ringing in the new year with a fun activity going on today.

Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer shares that people have an opportunity to make New Year Paper Party Poppers and Cards just in time to celebrate 2025. She illustrates that Friends of the Perry Public Library President Kathy Miller will be leading participants to make decorative greeting cards and fun items to play with when the clock strikes midnight.

“It’ll be something to look forward to maybe after your holiday celebrations are over. Come into the library, relax, come enjoy (personal) space where you come and have your own table, spread out your crafting supplies and come enjoy a little time to yourself.”

Farmer points out that the activity will be free and open to the public from 10:30am-12:30pm. She reveals that following the program, people are encouraged to stick around for Saturday Crafternoons to create a design of their choice until 4:30pm. Any questions can be directed to the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569.
