Perry basketball star, Geren Kenney, is on pace to reach 1,000 varsity points in the new year. The senior has scored 140 points in the first 7 games this season. He will need another 155 points to reach the mark.
Kenney has been a staple for Perry starting 19 games in his freshman year and scoring 143 points. His role has grown each season. As a sophomore, he led the team in scoring with 267 points. He found another level last year as he had a team high 305 points. The Bluejays have 15 more regular season games plus the postseason for him to reach 1,000 points. Kenney would need to average 10 points a game to get there. He’s currently averaging 20 a night. Geren Kenney and the Bluejays return to the court on January 3 against Nevada.
