People can help support the rebuilding process of a home in Dallas Center that was recently destroyed by a fire.
According to the Dallas Center Volunteer Fire Department, crew members responded to a house fire in the 500 Block of 15th Street around 4:30am on Tuesday. When they arrived on the scene, there was heavy fire appearing through the roof. Dallas Center Fire Chief Daniel Howell tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he is unsure about the cause or origin of the fire, but confirmed that the smoke detector inside the house woke up occupants Will and Shawna Keller in time to escape.
He adds that the Dallas Center Volunteer Fire Department received mutual aid from the Adel Fire and Rescue, Minburn Fire and Rescue, and the Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire District. Howell notes that the fire remains under investigation. A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family at Raccoon Valley Bank. Contributions can be made for the Keller’s, and the link is available here.
