With the Christmas season past for a lot of us, Jefferson residents that have live trees have a way to get rid of them in a convenient way.

According to city staff, Public Works crews will be collecting any discarded live Christmas trees now through January 10th on your normal garbage pickup day. The city asks for residents to remove all decorations from the tree and place it at the curbside, with the cut end facing the curb, as those will be picked up around the same time as garbage is collected.
