With 2025 upon us, an organization in the Perry community will be celebrating with a fun public event tomorrow.
The Perry Elks Lodge, 2823 Willis Avenue, is holding its annual New Year’s Eve party from 6-8pm, which will feature a fun night of activities. According to Organizer Karen Einck, people ages 21 and older are welcome to take in the new year together as there will be food, drink specials, a champagne toast, plus live entertainment from the bands Rukkus and Feedback. Karen’s husband Mark, is the lead singer for Rukkus, and they’ve been performing for the last couple of years, as he emphasizes that he enjoys the whole celebration.
“We just enjoy ringing in the new year with a lot of friends. We all (band members) graduated together, the three old guys did anyway, so we’re all Perry grads. We pretty much know everybody that’s at the Elks when we play there.”
Karen expresses that the band is a family affair as their son, daughter, and nephew are all a part of the band. She loves getting to watch her family celebrate with the Perry community and encourages people to buy their tickets before the show tomorrow as the price is $20 at Fareway in Perry, through Venmo, or calling Karen herself at (515)-720-5254. Tickets will be purchased at the door for $25. To access the Venmo account, click here.
