Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is ready for the new year.

Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that there will be a commercial manure applicator training and she tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it’s meant to keep individuals up to date on working with manure.

“So it’s just a continuing education course. So anyone that does manure hauling will need to take continuing ed. And so we’re just a host site to show that and provide that opportunity if needed.”

Van Horn mentions that the training will be held January 9th at the Extension Office in Guthrie Center beginning at 9am.
