In their December meeting, the Adair – Casey and Guthrie Center School districts saw a small bonus to some staffers.

Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that he brought forth a proposal for a substitute teacher finder stipend for select staff who search for substitute teachers when the normal teachers call out sick or have an emergency that won’t allow them to come into the school. He mentions that at this time, those staff members that would receive the stipend are only the office secretary of each building. Guthrie Center Elementary Principal Tandem Eischeid and AC/GC High School Principal Brian Sauser told the Guthrie Center Board that they agreed with the stipend, as looking for substitutes often started before the contracted work hours for the secretaries.
