Greene County wrestles in a double-dual Saturday at 10 a.m. in Coon Rapids vs. Ft. Dodge St. Edmond and Coon Rapids-Bayard. The Iowa National Guard is sponsoring the action and the wrestlers will compete on a National Guard mat. The 10 a.m. meet has St. Edmond and CR-B, followed by Greene County and St. Edmond, with the Rams and Crusaders in the last dual meet.

Marissa Dembinski is the Activities Director at CR-B and she told Raccoon Valley Radio Saturday will also be CR-B’s Senior Day. The meet was not on any of the schedules to begin the season and was finalized recently. Kirk Davis is the head coach of the Rams, but he’s a teacher at CR-B. The coach said he’s happy to have the National Guard’s involvement in the meet. This is the first action of 2025 for all three teams.

The Rams are 2-5 in dual meets, the Gaels are 0-4, and the Crusaders are 1-12. All three have had several holes in their lineups and have forfeited quite a few of the 14 weight classes to this point of the season.
