Perry girls wrestling takes the mat for the first time in 2025 tonight in Panora.  The Jayettes have their first competition in 18 days at the Panorama Girls Wrestling Invite.  9 schools are scheduled to attend.  Perry was last in action December 20 in Fort Dodge.  The top performers that night were: Mercedes Ponce who took gold in the class of 105.  Julie Maylum finished third in 155 while Cate Erickson took third in 115.  Ponce has already won 3 Invites and will look for her fourth tonight.  Fellow senior, Maylum, will look for another podium finish.  Harper Peterson has been a first half surprise for Perry.  The freshman has compiled 15 wins already this year.  The Jayettes take the mat for the first time in the New Year at Panorama High School tonight at 5P.
