Governor Kim Reynolds recently announced $3.4 million in new Registered Apprenticeship grants for Iowa school districts, with part of that heading to Guthrie County.

The second round of grants for the Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship Program builds on the success of the grants from the initial round, and helps to develop a greater pipeline of teachers in communities across the state. There were 11 kindergarten through 12th grade schools across the state that were awarded part of the grants in the announcement, including Panorama Community School District, which demonstrated a high need for additional certified teachers based on openings in their districts.
