For a second time this week, President-Elect Donald Trump and his legal team had a request to delay a sentence hearing denied.

Sources say the trial judge from the conviction of 34 felonies in New York for falsifying business records that on Monday had rejected a request by Trump’s lawyers to delay the sentence hearing that is to happen on Friday. Then on Tuesday, another request was made by Trump’s legal team to a New York appellate court asking for the sentence hearing to be delayed, but that request was also denied.

US Senator Chuck Grassley shares his opinion about all of the court cases that were lining up last year to face Trump.

“There’s four or five cases that were brought before him where his political enemies were trying to use the courts to keep him from being President of the United States. It actually probably enhanced his opportunities to get the Republican nomination (for President) and in turn to be President of the United States.”

The sentencing was to happen on January 10th with Inauguration Day to take place on January 20th.
