With temperatures dropping into the single digits and negatives, the Dallas County Emergency Management Agency is opening several warming stations for the next couple of days.

According to Emergency Specialist Lynn Royer, the organization is gearing up for the extremely cold temperatures that are hitting the state of Iowa. There are many locations where warming stations will be available including the Perry Public Library, the Adel Public Library, the Minburn Public Library, the Roy R Estate Memorial Library in Dallas Center, the Dexter Public Library, and the Redfield Public Library. Royer announces that the warming stations are for individuals looking for a place to avoid the bitter conditions. She indicates that the warming stations will be in effect until Tuesday.
