On Friday the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs girls wrestling team traveled to Perry High School for the Perry Girls Wrestling Invitational. The Mustangs found success in Perry, with Nia Kiley and Josephine Bond placing 3rd in their respective weight classes.

The first to get 3rd place for the Mustangs was Nia Kiley at 105 after she defeated Daniela Salinas of Denison-Schleswig by fall in 3:10. At 115, Josephine Bond would secure 3rd place after defeating Yarecze Rodriguez of Denison-Schleswig by major decision, 12-0. Sabrina Macke would place fourth in 130 for the Mustangs after falling to Willow Ray of West Central Valley by fall in 3:07.

The Mustang girls are back in action on Thursday as they host the Newton Cardinals for girls wrestling competitive action. The girls take the mat at 6:30pm.
