On Friday the Panorama Panthers girls wrestling team made the journey to Perry High School for the Perry Girls Invitational. The Panther girls found success, with Gracie Recker placing 3rd at 155, Emma Walker placed 2nd at 170, and Hali Klingenberg placing 1st in 235 bringing home the gold for Panorama.
Gracie Recker would battle but place 3rd after defeating Andrea Alcaraz of Denison-Schleswig by fall in 52 seconds in the 155 weight class. Emma Walker would place second in 170, after falling to Briar Blake of North Tama by fall in 1:12 in the first place match. Hali Klingenberg would bring home the gold for Panorama in the 235 weight class defeating Bella Teague of West Central Valley by fall in 1:23. Elizabeth Handy and Piper Downing would also pick up wins to help the Panther team point totals.
The Panther girls are back in action on Saturday as they travel to I-35 High School for Interstate 35 Roadrunners Wrestling Tournament.
