The West Central Valley Wildcat girls wrestling team was in action on Friday night as the Wildcats traveled up to Perry High School for the Perry Girls Invitational. The Wildcats found success in Perry, with Gracie Sloss placing 4th in 170, Willow Ray placing 3rd at 130, and Rhowen Miller placing 2nd at 135.
Bryanna Pena-Rivera would battle in the 115 weight class but would fall in the 5th place contest against Baylee Boyd of Grinnell by fall in 2:43. Gracie Sloss placed 4th in 170 after falling to Sophie Reed of Southeast Polk by fall in 1:42. Willow Ray placed 3rd at 130, after defeating Sabrina Macke of Dallas Center-Grimes by fall in 3:07 and Rhowen Miller would place 2nd at 135 after falling to Clara Shogren of Southeast Polk by fall in 55 seconds.
The Wildcat girls are back in action on Saturday as they travel to I-35 High School for the Interstate 35 Roadrunners Wrestling Tournament.
