It’s 0-14 Greene County at 3-9 Madrid in one varsity girls’ high school basketball game tonight on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Game time is 6 p.m. with coverage at 5:45 p.m. from the Madrid High School gym.
Coach Tori Ogden’s team put a season high 43 points on the board during a home loss to Grand View Christian (Des Moines) on Friday, more than doubling their season average. Madrid averages 29.2 points per game and the Tigers are coming off a 57-23 loss at Des Moines Christian.
The head coach of the Rams told Raccoon Valley Radio the girls are really enjoying playing and scoring some points in recent games has helped. Starting point guard Kaycee Pittman exited Friday’s game late in the first half with a right leg injury. The coach told RVR she’ll find out Pittman’s status today.
