On Saturday the West Central Valley Wildcats traveled to Truro to I-35 High School for the West Central Activities Conference Wrestling Tournament and found great success as Zach Teague would take 1st place at 285. The Wildcats also had Cody Rodriguez and Nathan Bentler place 3rd place in 157 and 165 respectively.

Zach Teague would defeat Gunner Hommer of I-35 by fall in 59 seconds to reach the semifinals in 285. To reach the championship, Teague would defeat Keegan Long of Earlham by fall in 5:24. In the championship match to bring home the gold, Teague defeated Joel Cooper of Panorama by fall in 2:20 to take home first place for the Wildcats.

The Wildcat boys wrestling team is back on action on Thursday as they host Earlham and Martensdale-St Marys for wrestling triangular action.
